In the modern era, the Kham Royal Kingdom has been led by His Royal Majesty King Tikoe Tefo Meshack Lekitlane, a globally recognised traditional leader and diplomat. HRM King Tikoe was honoured as an Eminent Peace Ambassador, reflecting his commitment to reconciliation, indigenous unity, and global peace-building initiatives.

He also served as a Global Diplomat under the chairmanship of His Eminence Professor Chidi Ehiriodo, International Director of the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), operating on a worldwide platform dedicated to diplomacy, peace advocacy, and intercultural cooperation.
